Last April, after one year of construction, Fanagoria opened its own cooperage with an investment of over 11 million rubles. It is equipped with the finest Slovenian and Russian technology capable of producing casks
ranging from 225 to 600 l in capacity. The casks are designed for use in both the wine and brandy industries.
Aged Caucasian oak is harvested and treated in line with modern European quality standards.
Initially half of the projected 300 oak casks produced every month will be offered for sale both nationally and internationally with the remainder ensuring that Fanagoria will be self sufficient in terms of its oak needs
for both its wines and its brandies.
