A Hundred Shades of White. Chardonnay

White dry wine, protected appellation of origin ‘Sennoi’
Grapes: Chardonnay

Peculiarities of vinification. This wine is crafted from the classical grape variety, Chardonnay, cultivated at Fanagoria’s best vineyards. The facility applies most state-of-the-art technologies to grow the grapevine, and the grapes are harvested manually when they reach the optimum level of ripeness. Upon scrupulous sorting and destalking, the grapes are fermented at controlled temperature. The ready wine is matured in oak barrels for at least a year, with subsequent bottle maturation for at least 6 months.

Sensory characteristics. Colour: straw. A good combination of ripe fruits, citruses and flower with noble creamy notes. Taste: full, well-balanced, with a nice acidity level and mineral and fruity-citric notes and slight woody nuances. Finish: long, creamy and fruity, with a play of flowery and citric notes.

To be served at 10 - 12 °С.

Decanter 2020 Tasting Contest judges about 100 Shades of White Chardonnay 2017

Ripe, opulent pineapple and tropical fruit, augmented by spice and oaky butterscotch characters.

Summary of tasting notes from Chardonnay du Monde 2020 about 100 Shades of White Chardonnay 2017

Bubbly golden yellow colour. Open on the nose pleasantly combining notes associated with barrel ageing (vanilla, toast, liquorice) and wine (fruity, mushroom). Complex wine in the mouth with richness but also finesse and delicacy. Citrus and truffle flavours with a beautiful fresh finish.
