Fanagoria Welcomes Business Partners from China

On June 28 – July 3, a group of importers and distributors from China visited Fanagoria Estate Winery. During the visit, our Chinese partners were introduced to the secrets of Fanagoria winemaking, and took part in the tours that were specially organized for them.

Visiting a vineyard is always a thrilling experience, especially if you are accompanied by the company’s chief viticulturist. Nikolai Moroz was the personal guide of our Chinese guests. He revealed them many details of vine-growers’ labour, and shared with them several secrets of a hard but exciting process of grapevine cultivation.

Did you know that the Fanagoria winery itself occupies an area of about nine hectares? In addition to wine cellars, filling facilities and warehouses, it accommodates infrastructural objects, a pottery studio, and many other facilities. And, of course, everyone is encouraged to take pictures during a winery tour.

The oenologists Alexander Beryozov and Roman Tcaciuc conducted a tasting session for our guests. They answered their numerous questions, even the trickiest ones. The tasting was performed in our underground 3,000 sq m cellar that is considered to be one of the biggest cellars nationwide.

In their comment left at Hermonassa Restaurant, the Chinese guests wrote that they “wrote a good” We keep on looking for a translator to help us understand what they meant.

Fanagoria Export Department Manager Mikhail Leluk: “Both we, the Fanagoria team, and our friends from China were very pleased. We managed to fully use the chance to arrange a rich, active and diverse recreational program for our guests: a visit of one of the most dramatic Mundial matches between Belgium and Japan, a yacht cruise, a visit of the Fanagoria cooperage, Cabernet Wine Restaurant, our winery and the nearby settlements. According to our guests, they simply fell in love with the Taman area, and they look forward to an opportunity to visit this place once again, but now together with their families, and spend a week or so at the seaside.”

The Fanagoria team was also pleased to be given a chance to communicate to our Chinese partners. Fanagoria develops its own tourist project and will be glad to share the marvels of the Fanagoria planet with all wine enthusiasts!
