Wine expert Denis Rudenko about Cru Lermont Pinot Noir 2016

Colour: full, pomegranate, with a delicate white ridge. A well-pronounced flavour: sour cherry, cowberries, a lot of chamois leather, heather root, vanilla and cinnamon, lots of woody notes which, though, do not oust the main varietal flavour. Taste: intensive and full, a bit too alcoholic (the wine must be chilled down): vanilla, creamy fudge, sour cherry, delicate tannin, moderately-long finish with dominating oak. 15.5/20 (87/100).

A well recognizable style of the winery – accurate, clear and nice. For many years, it has been one of Russia’s three top Pinot Noirs.

Wine journalist Vladimir Glukhov about Cru Lermont Pinot Noir 2015

The wine is crafted in a good Old-World style. It lacks the vigour and the ‘jamness’ of many average American Pinots, or the ashes of Pinots from New Zealand – but what it has is berries, a coffee tone and even a slight note of autumn leaves. This is wine with a good but not excessive acidity, well-balanced, with a typical Pinot-Noir-like taste. I would give it 15.5/20, but owing to my good mood and out of my kindness let’s give it a 16.

Wine expert Denis Rudenko about Cru Lermont Pinot Noir 2014

If somebody had told me back in 2005 that I would live to the time when I would say about a 4-year-old (!) Russian-made (!!) Pinot Noir (!!!), “It’s a bit too early to drink it, hold it on for a bit more” – I would have laughed aloud. But this time did come, and Fanagoria Cru Lermont Pinot Noir 2014 is sponsoring our today’s program.
